Chapter Six

Trinity moaned softly, not wanting to wake up from the erotic dream she was having. Ean had a magical touch and it was pushing her closer and closer to the edge. Gasping softly, she reached out to anchor herself to something. Her eyes popped open at the sound of his heartfelt groan.

It took her a moment to get her bearings, but then she realized, it wasn’t fantasy. She was lying next to Ean in his bed and they were still at the hotel. After the lusty round of lovemaking with Ean, she’d fallen asleep for a short nap. When she’d awakened, it was to the smell of dinner being delivered.

During the middle of the meal he’d confessed he’d intended for them to go out to dinner for their last night in Omaha, but he didn’t want to leave the hotel room. She hadn’t minded in the least.

After the hearty meal, she hadn’t been able to keep her eyes open. Still, she had taken a refreshing shower before crawling back into bed. The last thing she remembered was curling up into Ean’s embrace. But now, thanks to his sensual caress, she was wide awake.

Rolling onto her side, she opened her mouth to speak, but he swooped in for a kiss. His mouth, those firm lips, were open against hers, demanding even as she gave, luring him in with taste and touch. She nipped at his lips, skimmed her own along his jaw, down his throat. What a hell of a way to wake up.

He made a noise deep in his throat that held equal parts elation and uninhibitedness. She arched into him in response, assisting him as he struggled to pull her closer. Running her hands over his broad shoulders, she reveled in the feel of him.

The fact she was turned on shocked her a little. After the passionate encounter she’d shared with him earlier, she would have thought the edge had been taken off. From the amount of lust surging through her, that clearly wasn’t the case.

“I love the way you feel in my arms,” Ean murmured. The words floated through the silent hotel room and Trinity raised her head.

“I like being in them.”

“You don’t know how glad I am to hear that.” His hands slipped around her hips to pull her closer to him and she went. Then again, in that instant, she’d have reciprocated anything he’d done to her. When he went to pull away from her, she protested.

“Shh. I’m not going anywhere,” he whispered.

He moved lower on the bed, pulling the covers off of her as he went. The heat of his bare torso against her legs made her inhale sharply. His hands trailed gently down her body, over her hips, along her waist, stroking her skin. His fingers slipped between her thighs.

“What are you—”

“Shh. Remember, you’re supposed to allow me to prove that I’m capable of taking care of you in every way you need,” he said and bent closer.

And with a sort of wicked amusement, she felt him drape her legs over his shoulders.
